About Us

Transformative Justice Coalition of Wilco (TJC Wilco) is a nonprofit centered in Williamson County, Texas established to support the efforts of programs and communities who provide services for emerging adults age 17 to 25, who are recently involved in the Criminal Justice System or those at risk of being involved due to social economic or systemic conditions.  TJC Wilco collaborates with existing systems, programs, Criminal Justice Professionals, and Community Leaders to provide direct support for their efforts with this emerging adult population.  TJC Wilco also educates and advocates in an effort to bring to awareness the unique dynamics, barriers, and needs associated with this valuable population.  The efforts of TJC Wilco are facilitated by Board Members and a volunteer community with the goal of having limited operations expenses to allow for more abundant services, education, and advocacy.

I appreciate you showing an interest in our work and the TJ community.  The Transformative Justice movement, in the area of Criminal Justice involved emerging adults, has become a passion for me.  My professional life began in Williamson County in 1990 (at age 23) as a Felony Pre-Trial Officer with Williamson County Adult Probation.  I have experienced several of the same struggles and CJ involvement as many of the population we are serving at TJC Wilco.  I am blessed to have ended up on this side of the desk!  That could have very easily not been the case.  My emerging adult experiences have added to my insight and empathy for those navigating this developmental period.  I quickly became a helping professional and have directly worked with criminal justice participants of all ages, races, backgrounds, and offense behaviors.  I have developed and facilitated a range of programs which educate, counsel, provide skills, and opportunities to those involved with the Courts through Texas Community Supervision Alternatives, LLC  and with The Center for Cognitive Education, LLC.  Although, I have found no work more satisfying than my work with Transformative Justice programs for emerging adults.  If done correctly, this is the true sweat spot to have a significant positive impact on individuals, families, and the Community at large.
